Collection: Satin Sarees

Satin sarees are woven using a satin weave structure — a technique that floats warp threads over multiple weft threads, creating a smooth, highly reflective surface on one side and a matte finish on the reverse. This construction gives satin its characteristic lustre and fluid drape. In Indian sarees, satin is most commonly produced in polyester or silk-satin (also called charmeuse), with the silk version offering superior drape and breathability at a higher price point.

Satin sarees are popular for evening occasions, receptions, and festive gatherings where a glossy, colour-rich fabric makes a strong visual impact. The fabric photographs exceptionally well, making it a frequent choice for weddings and pre-wedding shoots. At Greenways, our satin collection includes both plain satin with embellished borders and digitally printed satin sarees, available in a wide colour range from deep jewel tones to pastels.

Care note: polyester satin is machine washable on a delicate cycle; silk-satin should be dry-cleaned to preserve the sheen and fabric integrity. Satin snags easily — store folded rather than hung, away from rough surfaces. All satin sarees in this collection come with a matching blouse piece and are available at our stores across Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, and Lucknow.
