Blue Sarees

Blue sarees span one of the widest shade ranges in Indian ethnic wear — from the palest powder blue and sky blue through royal blue, cobalt, peacock blue (morpankhi), navy, and indigo. Blue is particularly significant in Indian textile traditions: indigo (neel) is one of the oldest natural dyes used in Indian textiles, fundamental to Rajasthani block printing, Kutch embroidery, and traditional Bandhani dyeing. Peacock blue — named for the national bird's iridescent plumage — is a uniquely Indian shade that reads especially well in silk and zari combinations.

Blue sarees at Greenways are available across the full fabric and occasion range — deep navy Banarasi and Kanjeevaram for evening and bridal occasions, peacock blue Bandhani and embroidered georgette for festive events, and lighter powder blue cottons and linens for office and daily wear. With 1,865 blue sarees, this is one of the most extensively stocked colour collections at Greenways. Gold zari and silver embroidery both work beautifully against blue bases.
